Michael is an undergraduate at the University of Toronto with a strong foundation in computer science and physics. At Rare Not Alone, Michael brings technical thinking and practical problem-solving skills to the organization’s digital and educational work, helping explore more effective ways to communicate rare-disease knowledge.
What Michael wants to say
"I want to join Rare not Alone because I believe that rare disease patients often face not only medical challenges, but also a lack of awareness and understanding from society. I really connect with the idea that being rare should never mean being alone.
My interest in healthcare comes partly from my father, who is a doctor, and from my own interest in computer science, AI, and medical technology. I hope to combine these interests to contribute to raising awareness and supporting patients and their families.
I also have experience in student organizations, media, teamwork, and technology. I’m proactive, willing to learn, and enjoy turning ideas into real projects. I hope to bring these skills to Rare not Alone and work with others to make a meaningful difference."
